Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking a friendly, energetic Hotel Bellhop to be one of the first smiling faces our guests meet - escorting guests and their belongings to and from the gondola and other guest areas with warmth and care. Strong focus is placed on guest interaction and quality of service, as we strive to surpass every guest’s needs and expectations. With a professional, welcoming presence, you’ll identify and respond to guest needs safely and promptly to help ensure every stay is a great one.

Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. Who You Are
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality experience or training is a plus
- A natural team player who thrives in a dynamic, quality-driven environment
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; Additional languages are a plus
- Exceptional guest interaction skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences
- High energy and a positive, can-do attitude
- Available to work varying shifts - mornings or nights, including weekends and holidays
- Able to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Detail-oriented
- A presentable, professional appearance
What You’ll do
- Escort guests and their personal belongings to and from the gondola and other guest areas
- Share resort information and helpful local knowledge with guests
- Assist with room service delivery
- Bus and reset common areas as needed
- Answer the telephone and assist with guest requests
- Help keep hotel common areas clean and welcoming
- Support front desk and housekeeping duties as needed
- Replenish firewood in guest and common areas
- Conduct linen inventory counts
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks
- Assist guests with any other needs that arise
- Shovel snow at hotel and guest entrances as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, stoop, stand, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout an entire shift
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to walk and navigate varied terrain, including snow and ice, while carrying guest belongings
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold, winter weather conditions for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling luggage, equipment, and guest items safely
- Ability to shovel snow as needed
- Sufficient visual and auditory acuity to safely assist guests and navigate the property
